-WEEK 3 NEWS:
- In your packets you'll find a COLOR SHEET with a SCHEDULE & the VERY IMPORTANT CAPTAINS' CONTACT LIST.  Use this whenever you need to CONTACT a CAPTAIN for something unexpected like the match-move above.  Only Bronze 1 packets got the revised schedule with the Roosevelt added to it, so be aware of that though it shouldn't affect you if rely on the online schedule. Also inside there is the usual too-bright laser pen and a lagniappe item: an aluminum chalk-holder that's better than the previous plastic ones.  They work best with a longer piece of chalk but I broke up the few pieces I had to put a little in each one (40) so you'd know what they were for..
- Not Matt Meyers got a R9 and even more impressive (at least to me) was his prompt scorecard lol.

-WEEK 2 NEWS:
- Welcome to the 75th season of the ODC:  We have 41 teams this Fall with some newcomers and old vets returning for more blistering dart fury.  We lost two top tier teams (MDMA & Funkadelic) and gained a couple Bronzers (Rambler & Roosevelt) so most teams will notice an upward shift in their placement as these new low teams have flooded Bronze and pushed the other teams up to fill the 2 unexpected absences at the top.
- This Tuesday I had the pleasure of playing the 11th hour team (who zoomed in with a roster at the last minute to fill a bye in Bronze 1) at our newest bar, the posh and ultra-swanky Roosevelt Hotel Bar downtown. Hubba hubba!  My first visit there was both a dartboard inspection and Week 1 match and it was clear their new dart area had been hastily set up (I was scoring when the board literally fell off the wall as the third dart stuck in the 13 to score 39 pts. in Triples Cricket!). However, the space has great potential and the owner is committed to improving it.  She and the rest of the team welcomed us warmly, are excited to join ODC and clearly our kind of good dart people. They play the next 2 weeks away so everything should be tip-top by their next Week 4 home match vs. Evangeline. 
-  Look out, the Gamblers are back!  Yes, it's true, the Rambler has made good on its threats and returned to ODC with no apologies or excuses (none needed, really).  Another notable return is longtime Get to the Tchopper and 21 season veteran Ray Wiltshire who the Hoppy Endings have recruited to join them at Oak St. Brewery, forcing him into hard labor immediately with a Week 1 five-game workload like he was the RB backup for Christian "Glass-Legs" McCaffrey.
- And we have a good start to the Mystery Out race with Week 1 entries in all the divisions except Bronze, but the real story this week is Half Moon's 3-player 12-7 victory over the Silver Grailholders Parlay's Hitmen.  Just Captain Chris Jones once again won his 1 vs. 2  501 game over reigning S2 MVP Clee & just regular Zeke with a 105 and a 97 Out.  Piyow! This guy lives for these handicap matches, I think he PREFERS them, he gets off going 5-1 in one night and without a doubt Chris Jones has more Iron Man wins than anyone else in ODC history (yeah, they play short-rostered a LOT).  We've never kept track of these type of wins but I'm sure he has 10 or more by my blurry memory banks. Anyway, with all the stars and upsets and blank roster spots, I thought it was a very unusual card and I thought this might be a cool feature to add, if I keep up with it or not is another question.  Feast your eyes on this one:
- SUMMER $$$ WINNERS:  email Tom with your preferred payment method, PayPay, Venmo, cash or check.
HIGH OUT: Geeser John Langridge wins $40 for his $139 High Out.  This friggin' ADO rep scoots into ODC and raids the cash drawer in his very first season.  With a start like that, we can only expect more to come. 
MYSTERY OUT WINNERS:  Chad Schomaker 70, Al Kreppein 89, Tom Haggerty 72, Treis Aucoin 74, Thomas Sanderson 72, Chris Daugherty 99 & Isabelle Brown 87.  Congrats!

-WEEK 1 NEWS:
- Rule Reminders on Adding Players: The deadline to add players is Week 5.  The top division can add anyone.  Other divisions can add "new" (never played league darts before) but need approval to add anyone who has played league before.  You must get approval from the Dartsar BEFORE the Tuesday match (not during) or you may be playing an ineligible player(s) and forfeit any games they win.  Carry on.
-  Each week, someone on your team should check the Warning Box above to help you avoid penalties.  Also check the scores and stats because every season a few errors crop up among the 3-4 thousand data entries and YOU are the only proofreader.  We depend on you to catch those inevitable mistakes so please email Tom with any errors you find, thanks!
